Update on how we bring new features and value for LAND Owners

With a robust community and over 23,500 LAND owners, The Sandbox stands out as one of the most engaged metaverse platforms. Our goal is to empower the community and promote innovation among creators. Together, we can build a truly open and decentralized metaverse.

As we move into the second quarter of the year, let’s review what we have achieved in Q1 2023 and the support we gave to our community of virtual LANDS owners. LAND owners are the heart of our community, and that’s why we’ll double down on our communication regarding what benefits and use-cases they can get from their ownership. Below is the first of our recurring quarterly updates on our LAND owner roadmap:

TL;DR

• SELF-PUBLISH — LAND Owners can launch their experiences directly to anyone on the map, available first to all creators by the end of Q3.
• UPGRADE YOUR EXPERIENCES TO 0.8 — Take your LAND to the next level with brand new gaming mechanics and visual effects thanks to new Game Maker updates
• MINT YOUR ASSETS — Minting your ASSETS to the blockchain as NFTs and selling them with new features by end of Q4
• STAKE — Up to 100k SAND weekly rewards guaranteed for both SAND only and SAND for LAND Owners pools until July 6th!
• PLAY — Earn exclusive NFT and SAND rewards starting with the April Festival with specific reward pools, one for LAND Owners and one for AVATAR holders from Official Collections who complete the quests in the Leaderboard
• BONUS CONTENT FOR CREATORS — Each month, LAND Owners who hold their LAND for over 3 months on their wallet can claim 1 exclusive NFT
• COMMUNICATION — More regular updates to the community, including AMAs and and newsletter/ update posts every quarter, to answer your questions and share our Roadmap

MAP & SELF-PUBLISHING

• ✅ New Map Design and increased speed to search LANDS with many filters
• ✅ Logos on any LAND size — LAND Owners can now personalize their LAND, including the 1×1 ones, with their own logo. Over 6,000 LANDS have been updated so far.⏳LAND Owners can launch their experiences directly to anyone on the map, available first to all creators by the end of Q3.
• ⏳ A first selection of allow-listed LAND owners will be able to publish their experience on their LAND during Q2. Stay tuned for how to access the allow-list.

BUY

Over 115,850 LANDs have been minted by more than 23,500 LAND owners, making The Sandbox one of the most decentralized community based on assets ownership.

We pursue our efforts to make sure that new entrants can have a chance to buy LAND, by having introduced the LAND Raffle system last November 2022. Since then, each participant could receive 1 LAND maximum which contributed to expand our community in a fair and distributed manner , improving the LAND buying experience for all, by taking measures to exclude bots and improve the overall flow.

Our goal remains to onboard as many LAND owners as possible to create a rich and diverse metaverse.

We heard your feedback, and we are continually adjusting to find the perfect balance when it comes to play and earn. We brought you Game Maker 0.8 in Q1 2023 and we are working on delivering new experiences showcasing its new features in Q2!
The update includes:

• ✅ New lighting and visual effects features
• ✅ Video and Audio streaming
• ✅ Equipment and wearable support in social hubs

All features are applied to:

• ✅ Game Maker 0.8
• ⏳ New Game Client 0.8
• ⏳ All experiences should be upgraded to 0.8 to be published on the map

COMMUNICATE & MEET

We want to keep you updated regularly and be more in touch with our LAND owner community on a regular basis. That is why we will be providing quarterly updates on the roadmap and address questions through our social media channels. Our goal is also to make an impact and add value to our LAND owner community in the physical world too. We will keep showing up at major events and schedule gatherings across the world for our communities.
