The Very first Origins Championship
Axie Infinity, a popular Ronin network PlayAndEarn blockchain game, recently hosted one of its largest ESports tournaments in the Philippines.
Half of the player pool was invited to the two-day event on June 11–12, while the other half had to pass a qualification round held the month prior. The Axie Infinity Origins Championship, which included a 400 $AXS prize pool, had Axie’s Philippine Lead, Nix Eniego, very enthused about the game’s future and its impact on the community.

To participate in the tournament, both finalists had to qualify. However, ADRD, who had to advance through the lower brackets to reach the finals, defeated the undefeated P4TRICK in four matches. To begin the finals, the Polish player was down 0–1 but rallied behind his unique team compositions and sealed the three-game win streak with his blood moon poison strategy to take home the trophy.
